Salary Comparisons
Comparing Illinois State University to other institutions for salary purposes is an intricate process. Illinois State University uses the Carnegie classification system, sector (e.g., Public, 4-year or above), and geographic region (e.g., U.S. Census Bureau regions) to determine a set of institutions that may be used for salary comparisons of most academic positions and many non-academic positions. The institutions that are appropriate to use for any individual salary comparison may vary from this list, depending on a number of factors such as position type, employee classification, academic discipline and the like.
